And after I'm finished, I have that great endorphin rush and am really proud of myself. We can do it! Keep me posted on your journey!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16965084369324887729noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2603799532501601434.post-38609165561081088322015-01-04T20:15:33.329-05:002015-01-04T20:15:33.329-05:00I've had issues with the slow creep of extra w...I've had issues with the slow creep of extra weight too, really starting when I quit smoking several years ago. I never really made it a new years goal but this year I had a physical in December and everything was bad; cholesterol was high, blood pressure was high, I'd gained 10 pounds in about six months (!) and realized that something's got to change right away. I get a lot of activity in daily but have added some more. The big thing is controlling portions and avoiding excess in food. I love rich foods and tend to just keep eating. My active lifestyle allowed that for years but I guess my metabolism has slowed down. So I'm planning to carefully limit portion sizes and avoid junk-snacking (candy and chips and stuff like that) and bring better snacks to work (almonds, crudites, fruits). Will let you know how it goes. Josh LaPortehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16772883862662679235noreply@blogger.com
