Happy Anniversary to Me!

Today marks the one-year anniversary of my gastric bypass surgery.  Woohoo!

The decision to have surgery was a scary one for me (you can read more about why I did it here), but with the support and encouragement from my family, I went through with it, and it was one of the best decisions I have ever made.

Before the surgery I was almost 250 lbs., now I am 61 pounds lighter.  I still have 30 pounds to lose before I reach my goal weight, but already I am happy with where I am.

I'm looking forward to the next year ahead, and am ready to take on the next batch of challenges, and celebrate the next batch of accomplishments!
